Pharmacological properties

1 ml of Emidonol 20% contains eminodol® substance - 200 mg (as an active ingredient), as well as excipients.
Emidonol 20% is antioxydant drug (free radical inhibitor).
The drug has frank antioxydant, antihypoxant and membrane-protective properties providing therapeutic and preventive effect in various hypoxias.
Mechanism of eminodol® action involves specific influence over energy metabolism by reducing lipid peroxidation in cellular membranes and free radical binding causing increase in cellular energy level in conditions of oxygen defect.
According to severity of exposure, Emidonol 20% is a marginally hazardous substance (12.1.007-76 All Union State standard Hazard Category 4) and does not have any local irritative, cumulative, embryotoxic and teratogenic properties.

Indications

Use Emidonol 20% for prevention in combined therapy of diseases associated with hypoxia (oxygen defect) of organs and tissues including acute and chronic cardiovascular and cardiopulmonary impairments, traumatic pathologies (wounds, dermatitis, trophic ulcers, ambustions, freezing injuries), stresses and various intoxications; in rehabilitation period after diseases and surgeries; in increased physical loadings and veterinary geriatrics in dogs, cats, rabbits, fur animals, ornamental rodents, pigs and poultry.
The drug enhances feeding conversion and provides increase in gain in weight.
Use the drug for treatment and prevention of internal ishemic affections associated with hypoxia in sport animals.

Contraindications

Increased individual sensitivity to the drug components.

Dosage and administration

Treatment: administer the drug orally with water (individual or group method) for 1-2 times a day in listed doses. Course of use is 15-30 days. Prevention: once a day in therapeutic doses within 15-30 days. Repeat the course of use in 1-2 months, if necessary.

Veterinary geriatrics (dogs and cats above 7 years old): administer in therapeutic dose once a day within 30 days during vernal-autumnal period.

Adverse events

Adverse events and complications generally are not observed in case of Emidonol 20% administration as per package insert. In case of increased individual sensitivity to the drug components and allergic reactions, stop administration and use antihistaminic and symptomatic drugs.

Special warnings

Emidonol 20% is compatible with other drugs.

Storage

Store Emidonol 20% in closed original package. Protect from light and moisture. Store separately from food and animal feeding at 5-25°С. Shelf life is 2 years from manufacturing date when stored in accordance with regulations.
