Chemical composition and pharmacological properties

1 ml of Vitokey  contains vitamin А - 10,000 IU, vitamin D3 - 2000 IU, vitamin Е - 10 mg, vitamin K - 2 mg, vitamin В1 - 10 mg, vitamin В2 - 4 mg, vitamin В6 - 3 mg, nicotinamide - 30 mg, calcium pantothenate - 20 mg, folic acid - 0.2 mg, cyanocobalamin - 10 μg, biotin - 10 μg (as active ingredients), as well as excipients and water for injections.

Vitokey  is a combined vitamin drug. Active substances provide synergistic action on animal and poultry organism presenting metabolism normalization and prevention of hypovitaminosis and associated diseases.

Vitamin A regulates function and regeneration of epithelial tissues increasing organism protective function. Vitamin D3 participates in calcium and phosphorus metabolism providing antirachitic effect. Vitamin E is a strong antioxidant. It regulates oxidation-reduction processes enhancing action of A and D3 vitamins. Vitamin K is necessary for protein synthesis providing normal blood clotting. It plays a significant part in osseous and connective tissue metabolism, as well as in normal renal activity. Vitamin B complex plays a critical part in metabolism normalization and nervous process regulation.

Biologically active substances (components of the drug) participate in detoxication of organic acids and xenobiotics, increase secretion and digestive juice enzyme activity (gastrointestinal tract), improve digestion, normalize protein and fat metabolism, as well as promote gain in muscle mass.

Indications

Use Vitokey  to normalize metabolism in animals and poultry; to treat and prevent hypovitaminosis and associated diseases; to promote total growth and development in growers; to increase productivity and nonspecific resistance; as a part of complex therapy to treat and prevent stresses and poisonings; during immunization and treatment with сhemotherapeutic drugs (infectious, invasion and non-contagious diseases).

Treatment: intramuscular administration in femoral or neck area for 2-3 times, 10-15 days apart. Daily doses are listed in the table.

Prevention: intramuscular administration in therapeutic dose, twice, 2-3 weeks apart.

Pregnant mares and cows: administer twice (in the first and last periods of pregnancy). Sows: administer for 3 times - in ablactation, on the day of pregnancy determination and 7-14 days before delivery. Boars: administer every two weeks (up to 5 times) during active service period. Before use in wintertime heat VitOkay in water bath to 20-25°С. Oral administration of the drug solution: group method (with potable water or feed) or individual one (on the base of tongue) within 3 days (prevention) or 5 days (treatment). Daily doses are listed in the table. In order to reduce stress factor exposure (such as transfer, sorter, weighing, transportation, diagnostic testings, immunization) in poultry industry, use VitOkay with potable water within 5 days (day of an arrangement, 2 days before and after it).

In order to increase egg-laying capacity and egg hatchability, use with potable water for 3 days in succession (twice a day), 10-15 days apart.

When Vitokey  for oral use is mixed with feed, it is necessary to equally distribute the drug throughout it. Do not subject feed with the drug to thermal action.

Adverse events

Adverse events and complications are not generally observed in case of administration as per package insert. In case of increased individual sensitivity to the drug and allergic reactions, stop administration and use antihistaminic and symptomatic drugs.

Special warnings

Animal and poultry production can be used without restriction after the drug administration.

Storage

Store in closed original package. Protect from light and moisture. Store separately from food and animal feeding at 5-25°С.

Shelf life is 2 years from manufacturing date when stored in accordance with regulations and 30 days after the first unpacking.

Pharmaceutical form

Vitokey  for parenteral use is manufactured in 100 ml glass bottles; Vitokey  for oral use is manufactured in 100 ml polymeric bottles and 20 ml polymeric dropper bottles packed in individual cartons.
