Composition and properties

Expresstabs® is available in four modifications containing as active ingredients in 1 tablet:

- "For dogs weighing from 2.5 to 5 kg" – spinosad – 150 mg, praziquantel - 25 mg and moxidectin – 1 mg

- "For dogs weighing from 5 to 15 kg" – spinosad – 300 mg, praziquantel – 50 mg and moxidectin – 2 mg

- "For dogs weighing from 15 to 30 kg" – spinosad – 900 mg, praziquantel – 150 mg and moxidectin – 6 mg.

- "For dogs weighing from 30 to 60 kg" – spinosad – 900 mg, praziquantel – 150 mg and moxidectin – 6 mg.

As auxiliary substances, the preparation contains: lactose, a flavor additive – "taste of meat", pre-gelatinized corn starch and calcium stearate.

The active substances included in the preparation provide a wide range of its antiparasitic action against: fleas (Ctenocephalides canis, Ctenocephalides felis), ixodes mites (Ixodes ricinus, Ixodes persulcatus, Ixodes scapularis, Rhipicephalus sanguineus, Dermacentor reticulatus, Dermacentor silvarum, Dermacentor marginatus, Dermacentor variabilis, Amblyomma americanum, Haemaphysalis flava, Haemaphysalis campanulata), lice (Linognathus setosus, Trichodectes canis, Felicola subrostratus), scabies mites (Sarcoptes canis, Notoedres cati, Otodectos cynotis), thrombidiform mites (Demodex canis, Cheyletiella yasguri), round helminths – nematodes (Ancylostoma caninum, Toxocara canis, T. cati (T. mystax), Toxascaris leonina, Trichuris vulpis, Uncinaria stenocephala, Thelazia callipaeda, Angiostrongylus vasorum, Aelurostrongylus abstrusus, Crenosoma vulpis, Dirofilaria immitis (microfilariae), Dirofilaria repens (microfilariae)) and ribbon helminths – cestodes (Dipylidium caninum, Multiceps multiceps, Taenia hydatigena, Taenia ovis, Taenia pisiformis, Taenia taeniaeformis, Echinococcus granulosus, Alveococcus multilocularis), parasitic in dogs.

The antiparasitic effect of the drug begins 30 minutes after application and ensures the death of parasites within 24-48 hours. The death of fleas that have appeared on the animal occurs before the eggs are laid, which prevents contamination of the premises with eggs and larvae and interrupts the cycle of development of the insect population.

The protective effect of the drug against repeated attacks of ixodic ticks lasts up to 42 days, against fleas and lice – up to 56 days.

Indications

Expresstabs® is prescribed to adult dogs and puppies for the treatment and prevention of associative parasitic diseases caused by fleas, ixod mites, lice, scabies and thrombidiform mites, nematodes and cestodes, for the prevention of dirofilariasis caused by the larvae of Dirofilaria immitis and Dirofilaria repens, as well as to reduce the risk of infection with babesiosis and borreliosis, carriers of which are ixodes ticks..

Contraindications

Contraindications to the use of Express Abs® are increased individual sensitivity of the animal to the components of the drug (including in the anamnesis), exhaustion, infectious diseases, hyperthermia, severe liver and kidney dysfunction.

It is prohibited to use the drug to bitches during pregnancy and feeding of offspring, puppies younger than 6 weeks of age and / or weighing less than 0.6 kg.

The drug should not be used for dogs of breeds sensitive to macrocyclic lactones, including the Australian Shepherd (Aussie), white Shepherd, Bobtail (Old English Shepherd), border Collie, shorthair Collie, longhair Collie, McNab, long-haired whippet, silky Windhound, sheltie and their mestizos.

Doses and procedure of application

Express Tabs® is applied to animals once, orally (inside) with a small amount of food (treats) during feeding or injected into the root of the tongue immediately after feeding. The minimum therapeutic dose of the drug per 1 kg of animal weight is: 30 mg spinosada + 5 mg praziquantel + 0.2 mg moxidectin.

The doses of Express Tab® depending on the weight of the animal and the modification of the tablet used are shown in the table:

* When using the drug, dogs weighing more than 60 kg should choose a combination of tablets of appropriate modifications. For example: for a dog weighing 70 kg, 2 tablets "For dogs weighing from 30 to 60 kg" and an additional 1 tablet "For dogs from 5 to 15 kg" should be used.

Side effects

If there are signs of hypersensitivity of the animal or individual intolerance to the substances that are part of ExpresssTabs®, as well as if allergic reactions occur, the use of the drug should be discontinued, symptomatic treatment should be carried out.

Storage

Store in the manufacturer's closed packaging, in a place protected from direct sunlight, at a temperature from 2 ° C to 25 ° C. The unused part of the tablet should be placed in a blister and stored under the stated conditions until the next use, but no more than 3 months after opening the package.
